1960 Lancia Appia Zagato GTE
Ground up restoration, One of only 116 closed headlight cars produced of 350 total, Own a stunning piece of Zagato history
This 1960 Lancia Appia GTE Zagato is Red over a White and Cocoa Interior. It is one of the 350 alloy Zagato bodied GTEs ever produced, and it is said only 116 closed headlight examples were ever made. These are the most desirable. It started it's life as an export model (the E in GTE stood for export) and it is believed it was delivered to California and sold there new. It was completely restored in 2006 in California by an expert who focuses on small Italian cars. It was a ground up restoration that included paint, interior, chrome, an engine rebuild, and the thorough going through of the suspension. The car comes with records for the restoration. With Fiat 750CC Zagatos bringing well over $100,000, we feel this car is extraordinary value, being rarer and having larger displacement. The car is fabulous to look at and an absolute delight to drive. The V4 motor makes a compelling sound and anyone who drives the car will arrive with a big smile.
This car represents an excellent and rare opportunity to own a desirable closed headlight GTE, which do not often make it onto the open market. It would be an excellent addition to any garage or collection, and is ready and welcome for just about any event or rally.
