1967 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage
Excellent Original Car in Desirable Original Colors, Original Left Hand Drive Vantage from the Factory, Factory Build Sheet, California Car
The Aston Martin DB6 was the ultimate development of the famed Touring-designed range that began with the DB4 in 1958. Its longer wheelbase provided greater high speed stability and a larger rear seating area, making this final iteration a truly elegant and practical four passenger GT car.
This 1967 DB6 Vantage was delivered originally in Midnight Blue over a Blue leather interior. It is a factory produced Vantage, which is confirmed by a build sheet that accompanies the car. Besides the powerful 325 horsepower Vantage specification, this car was also ordered with a 3.71:1 limited-slip differential, a power operated aerial, as well as chrome wire wheels and a heated rear screen. This is also an original left hand drive, manual transmission car.
Very few of the 1321 DB6 MK 1s were ordered in the left hand drive Vantage specification, making this car considerably rarer than other DB6s. From the records, the car was serviced by authorized Aston Martin garages for its first few years of life. As time went on, the car made its way to the west coast of the United States, where it was kept by an enthusiast until last year. It was maintained and lightly restored, only where needed. The car has been detailed to a high standard. It has the feel of a very original car that spent most of its life in California and did not suffer a hard existence.
A fast, comfortable GT, this is an ideal car for touring or vintage driving events. In its elegant original colors and powerful Vantage spec motor, it is sure to deliver many miles of driving pleasure. DB6 values have steadily been on the rise for the last year and as such this car is also an excellent investment.
