1967 Alfa Romeo GTV Step Nose
Restored Car, Recent Mechanical Freshening, GTA Style Accessories
This 1967 Alfa Romeo GTV Step Nose wears an attractive coat of British Racing Green over a beautiful Saddle interior. It is a beautifully presented example of the classic step nose Alfa. It has recently been mechanically freshened and we are told it was then tested on a 1000 mile rally. We are also told that it was originally a California car, but was recently purchased from a long time owner of over 20 years in the Northeast. It has been set up for performance driving with a number of modifications and improvements.
It sits on GTA style wheels, lowering springs and wears a GTA style grille without bumper (original front bumper included.) From what we were told from the previous owner, the motor was recently gone through with a 15 hour port and polish job, larger valves, and hotter European cams. The Weber DCOE 40s were rebuilt and rejetted, the radiator was refurbished and the car received a new water pump, alternator, front and rear seals, new tires, new brakes, 4 year old interior and new carpets from Re-Originals.
The motor loves to rev and delivers good crisp power and a terrific sound. Handling and steering feel is excellent, with the unmatched light and precise steering GTVs are known for. These are some of our favorite driving vintage cars of any price range and this has to be one of the best set up GTVs we have driven.
This is a great opportunity to pick up a step nose GTV, which have been appreciating rapidly as of late. Enthusiasts are beginning to realize the amount of fun, style and practicality they offer for not a lot of money.
